Cults West Church

Cults West has had a comprehensive refurbishment and the installation of a new Automated sound system.
Built out of sparkling granite,
Cults west is run by the church of Scotland.
They required a descrete system that was easy to operate and would
produce high quality sound.

To deliver the sound to the congregation two community veris 28 full range loudspeakers, along with four community IO5’s towards the back of the church were installed. This ensures that every member of the congregation experiences the same level of quality sound.
Operation and control of this system had to meet the demands of many individual users. This was achieved by using an Allen & Heath IDR processor. This unit enables the user to recall one of the stored presets that has all the levels already optimised for the occasion. If extra control is needed a remote wall panel was fitted to allow fine tuning of the volume.

There is also control via an infra red remote control to allow operation from anywhere within the congregation.
New high performance radio
microphone systems were installed along with lectern and a special ambient
microphone. This ambient microphone is
used to pick up the organ and the singing.
This gets included in the recording mix and the induction loop mix.
For hearing aid wearers the
existing induction loop was repaired and optimised.
